Heritage of Southwest Asia is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal affiliated with the Ancient Research Encyclopedia Institute . Published biannually in Persian with extended English abstracts, the journal provides an open-access platform for the dissemination of original research in the fields of archaeology, archaeometry, conservation, cultural heritage architecture, and related historical–cultural studies of Iran and neighboring lands.

The primary aim of the journal is to foster academic dialogue and to promote innovative, interdisciplinary research that enhances our understanding of the cultural and historical heritage of Southwest Asia. By offering free and unrestricted access to both authors and readers, the Heritage of Southwest Asia seeks to advance the democratization of knowledge, support the global exchange of ideas, and encourage scholarly collaboration across borders.

The journal places particular emphasis on publishing high-quality research articles and review papers that address theoretical, methodological, and practical aspects of cultural heritage. It welcomes contributions that explore new approaches in archaeological sciences, the application of advanced technologies such as archaeometry and digital methods, as well as studies focused on the preservation, restoration, and sustainable management of tangible and intangible heritage.

Our vision is to establish Heritage of Southwest Asia as a leading reference in the field of archaeology and heritage studies in the region, recognized for its academic rigor, ethical standards, and commitment to open science.
