Call for Peer Reviewers

Invitation to Serve as a Specialized Peer Reviewer for the Journal of Heritage of Southwest Asia

The academic journal Heritage of Southwest Asia, affiliated with the Ancient Research Encyclopedia Institute, is published biannually (two issues per year) in Persian and English (with standardized articles in the second language). The journal is dedicated to exploring topics related to cultural heritage studies, archaeology, art, and architecture across the regions of Southwest Asia, providing a platform for disseminating progressive research outcomes in the study of the region’s heritage. It focuses on all disciplines related to archaeological sciences, art, and architecture, with a particular emphasis on aspects of heritage identity. Access to the journal is entirely free for both authors and readers. Young researchers and specialists are also encouraged to participate in the journal’s peer review process.

 

To enhance the scholarly quality and expand the scope of its research activities, the journal invites distinguished professors, researchers, and specialists, particularly young scholars, in the fields of history, archaeology, art, architecture, cultural studies, and interdisciplinary studies to collaborate as specialized peer reviewers.

 

Eligibility Criteria for Reviewers:

- Possession of a PhD or Master’s degree in relevant disciplines (e.g., archaeology, history, cultural studies, art, architecture, anthropology, etc.).

- Research experience and publication of academic articles in reputable journals (for young reviewers, having at least one published article is considered an advantage).

- Familiarity with the scientific peer review process and commitment to adhering to ethical principles as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Ethical Charter of Academic Journals of the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology of Iran.

- Ability to conduct thorough and impartial evaluations of manuscripts within a timeframe of 2 to 3 weeks.

- Proficiency in Persian and English (knowledge of other regional languages is considered an advantage).

Note:

- The journal employs a double-blind peer review process with a minimum of two reviewers.

- Applications will be evaluated by the journal’s editorial board.

- Young reviewers with strong motivation and academic qualifications will be prioritized.

- Complete and accurate submission of all required fields in the registration system and provision of all necessary documents are mandatory.
